Bruce is principal Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Professionals of Newport and was the founding member bringing the RE/MAX franchise into Rhode Island in 1985. Prior to entering his real estate career in 1978, Bruce worked for the IBM corporation in Providence, RI and in New York, NY and later became a teacher and headmaster of the New School in Newport, Rhode Island. He is past president of the Newport County Board of Realtors as well as the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. Bruce has chaired numerous committees on the local, state and national levels and has been awarded Broker/Owner of the Year and the Howard Hayes Founders Award by RE/MAX of New England. Bruce is also the receipent of RE/MAX International's prestigious Hall of Fame Award for overall real estate sales production. Having recently completed and 8-year term on the Town Council in Middletown, he still remains active in numerous organizations and committees throughout Aquidneck Island. When Bruce is not working he enjoys golf, boating and traveling with his family and friends. Bruce, his wife, Margaret and their 3 sons, Hans, Vaughn and Zachary live in Portsmouth.
